American Heritage Railways (AHR) is a heritage tourism company based on the preservation of railroad history. Its current operations reach nearly 1,500,000 rail passengers annually through three directly owned railroads and the licensing of special events at over 50 additional railroads. When AHR entered a ticketing partnership with Etix, North America’s leading independent ticketing company, the two quickly found like-minded values: a mirrored commitment to the success of their partners and providing an unforgettable experience for their customers. The shared expedition for innovation was inevitable.
Work soon began behind the scenes to collaboratively craft a railroad-centric user experience, fueled by the robust Etix system at its core. Guided by AHR’s years of experience in railroad ticketing, the Etix team went to work developing system features unique to the needs of rail partners. Soon after, a cohesive ticketing layout concept was launched.
